Job Description
To promote and sell the company’s manufactured kitchen equipment and commercial laundry equipment through digital platforms, physical market engagement, and events. The role combines social media management, content creation, online sales, field sales, and brand visibility coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Social Media Management & Content Creation
- Create, manage, and grow company pages on:
- TikTok
- YouTube
- X (Twitter)
- Threads
- Develop and post engaging content including:
- Product photos
- Promotional posters
- Short and long videos
- Create awareness campaigns for products such as:
- Boiling tables
- Stockpot stoves
- Brass taps
- Commercial laundry equipment
- Respond to customer inquiries across all platforms promptly
2. Online Sales & Marketplace Management
- Upload and manage products on online marketplaces such as:
- Jumia
- Kilimall
- Optimize product listings with descriptions, pricing, and images
- Track online sales performance and customer feedback
- Coordinate order processing and delivery follow-ups
3. Field Sales & Supermarket Engagement
- Identify and approach supermarkets and retail outlets for product placement
- Promote and sell products directly to businesses and institutions
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Achieve assigned sales targets
4. Event Planning & Organization
- Plan and coordinate marketing events, exhibitions, and product demos
- Organize product showcases and activations
- Represent the company at trade fairs and promotional events
5. Online Research & Market Intelligence
- Conduct research on:
- Market trends
- Competitor activities
- Customer preferences
- Provide insights to improve marketing strategies and product positioning
6. Advertising & Brand Visibility
- Develop and post promotional offers regularly
- Manage all advertising materials including:
- Banners
- Stands
- Pop-ups
- Ensure proper branding and visibility in all marketing activities
7. Licensing & Compliance
- Oversee and ensure all advertising materials comply with local regulations
- Handle acquisition and renewal of advertising licenses
8. Customer Communication & CRM
- Manage WhatsApp Business for customer interactions and sales
- Maintain professional communication with clients
- Follow up on leads and convert them into sales
9. Reporting & Record Keeping
- Maintain a daily activity diary/log including:
- Sales activities
- Social media engagement
- Customer interactions
- Events and field visits
- Prepare regular reports on marketing and sales performance
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
- Proven experience in social media management and sales
- Experience with online marketplaces (e.g., Jumia, Kilimall) is an added advantage
- Strong content creation skills (photo/video editing)
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and meet targets
