Work & Experience
Ø Sample preparation for quality/quantity testing analysis. Ø Testing services - quality control analysis (qualitative and quantitative) as per KEBS and ISO standards specifications for manufactured products. Ø Some test parameters include: S.G, Electrical leak test, moisture content, total solids, markings, abrasion test, tensile strength, alcohol content, active ingredients in powdered detergents, marsh test among others. Ø Instrumentation techniques in sample analysis. Ø Laboratory maintenance and general lab practices.
Ø Marketing through different media and workshops for the company. Ø Coordinate, set, monitor and conduct all science practical lessons. Ø Ensure the lab maintains all safety standards to minimize risks involved with the lab. Ø Teaching learners on qualitative and quantitative analysis. Ø Keeping inventory and all laboratory chemicals, apparatus and structural assets. Ø Laboratory maintenance, preparation of chemical reagents and custodian for the lab safety rules and emergency procedures. Ø Guide and co-ordinate all science projects within the school. Ø Write and compile monthly and annual laboratory report.
Ø Conducting preventive maintenance, repair and servicing of chemical dosing pumps and control equipment as per equipment requirements. Ø Short interval control (SIC) on bottle washer, cooling tower, and lubrication pumps to ensure availability and performance of all utilities to support production. Ø Packaging Management – Conducting cleaning in place (CIP) practices in the entire plant to ensure hygienic conditions; Bottle washer; slat conveyors, filler, labeller and pasteurizer. Ø Quality analysis and testing of production samples in compliance with ISO 9001 program and general wet chemistry; acid/base titrations, pH measurements. Ø Control of chemical usage to ensure Diversey chemicals are dosed as per MSDs and PIS.
